Tamagotchi Connexion - Australia

This page has been archived and will no longer be updated.

Bladeagotchi will no longer be updated from the start of 2012, as I lost nearly my entire collection in the floods of 2011. Bladeagotchi is now archived and kept online for historical purposes only.

Version One's, Version Two's, and Version Three's!

Version One

These new Tamagotchi's were released in Australia, Asia and in the Pacific region (Oceania). All Version One Connexions that were released in this area (except Japan of course) had the same programming, and the same packaging. The same designs were released, too.

This new Tamagotchi first appeared in Australian K-Mart stores on the 8th June 2004, and spread quickly within the next few weeks. By the start of July, it was sold out all over Australia, and Asia, and the Pacific region.

Version Two

Tamagotchi Connexion Version Two was released in Australia, Asia and in the Pacific in May 2005. They sold out exceedingly quickly, and during November and December 2005 they were impossible to find.

All V2's that were released in this area (except Japan of course) have the same programming inside them. However, the Asian packaging was different to the packaging in Australia and the Pacific area. The first batch ('wave') of colours were released in all areas, but after that different colours and designs were released in different areas.

Version Three

Version Three tamas have been released - they were released in Toys R Us Australia stored during February 2006.

Version 3 tamas have all the features of the first two, but you can get codes for them, and loads more stuff, from the TamaTown website. Unfortunately, they do not interface directly with your computer. You use codes - from both the website and your tama itself.

Pay close attention to the spelling: A REAL Australian V3 will have Tamagotchi Connection written on the packaging, Tamagotchi Connexion on the unit itself, and Tamagotchi Connection on the strap.
